“My experience with Kindon Wright: I engaged Kindon Wright to remodel my kitchen and bath room in early 2017, and it was a wonderful experience. As a residential architect, I have extensive experience with the kitchen remodeling process, and I found that working with Kindon was delightful. I designed the kitchen myself and purchased my cabinets more than a year before I proceeded with the construction. In the mean time I had a change of heart about the layout, so the casework was rearranged from the first plan. This resulted in the need for some innovation in the building process. The first commendation for Kindon, is that from the day he and his crew started, to the day I moved into a completed kitchen, was one month. We moved every water, gas and HVAC line, installed new power, refinished hardwood flooring, and replaced all casework and finishes. This required a lot of coordination of different trades, and Kindon handled the scheduling with good humor and aplomb. We lived in the house during construction, and we felt respected and well-taken care of. My second commendation is the superior craftsmanship on the project. The carpentry, finishes and painting were skillfully accomplished. There were various small “fix-it” projects that I asked Kindon to do. I had an attic opening on a hallway that needed a new odd-sized door. I returned from work one day to find a beautiful Craftsman style door mounted in the opening. Kindon had used scrap wood from the demolition that matched the window trim and created a door that looks integral to the house. My third commendation is the positive communication I had with Kindon. Even experienced architects such as myself change their minds once the project is realized in three dimensions. One day I came home from work and saw an upper cabinet installed as I had shown it on the drawings, and I knew immediately that it was a mistake. At that point the walls were painted and the project was nearly complete. Kindon agreed that the cab had to come down, and the next day it was gone and the wall was patched and repainted. I would heartily recommend Kindon Wright as a general contractor for any construction project. He is experienced, intelligent, honest and easy to work with. He is an excellent craftsman, and a great team leader.” - Claudia Falconer AIA
